Not Just Pretty Faces

Yes, the Rickman Spanish Mustangs are more than nice to look at. They have gone on to prove themselves as serious competitors around the globe.

Well known for their ability to cross the finish line in long endurance races, the horses are used in various competitions. And winning!

Our friend, Julie A. Bullock from Waynesboro, Virginia, is the owner of these beautiful Rickman Spanish Mustangs.

Cassidy Miller is riding one of Julie’s Choctaw mares (right) during the AERC’s No Frills 55 recently. The mare, Choctaw Nation (bottom left), does it all according to Julie. The mare competes in foxhunts, endurance and has completed three 50 mile races which earned the horse and rider the Triple Crown. The Choctaw mare has also completed the Old Dominion 100 mile endurance race and the Vermont 100 mile endurance which is known for its difficulties. The handsome guy (top left) is her Buckskin gelding, Bandolier.

A serious competitor.

The Rickman Spanish Mustangs have been proving their worth for decades.

Today they should no longer be referred to as feral, wild, unworthy or ruined. Their lasting stamina and huge hearts are proving the breed as one to be reckoned with!

We thank people like Julie and many others who have taken these beautiful creatures and shown their true potential!!

We are rooting you on!!!
